- Socket wrench
- Ratchet
- Spark plug wrench
- Coil pack wrench
- New ignition coil
Instructions:
1. Locate the ignition coils:
They are located on the top of the engine, one for each cylinder.
2. Remove the coil pack cover:
It is usually held in place by a few bolts.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors:
There is one electrical connector for each coil. Simply press down on the tab and pull up to disconnect.
4. Remove the coil pack bolts:
There is one bolt holding each coil pack in place. Use the coil pack wrench to loosen the bolts and remove them.
5. Remove the old ignition coils:
Pull the old ignition coils straight up to remove them. Be careful not to drop them.
6. Install the new ignition coils:
Place the new ignition coils into the spark plug wells and push down until they are seated.
7. Reinstall the coil pack bolts:
Tighten the coil pack bolts until they are snug.
8. Reinstall the electrical connectors:
Press down on the tabs and push the electrical connectors back into place.
9. Reinstall the coil pack cover:
Replace the coil pack cover and secure it with the bolts.
10. Start the engine:
The engine should now start and run smoothly.
