1. Park your Titan on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the fuel filler door and remove the gas cap.
4. Relieve the fuel system pressure by turning the ignition key to the "ON" position for 2 seconds, then turning it back to the "OFF" position. Repeat this process 3 times.
5. Place a jack under the front of the Titan and raise it until the rear wheels are off the ground.
6. Secure the Titan with jack stands.
7. Locate the fuel tank straps. There are two straps, one on each side of the tank.
8. Use a wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the fuel tank straps in place.
9. Remove the nuts and bolts that hold the fuel tank in place.
10. Carefully lower the fuel tank from the vehicle.
11. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank. Use a fuel line disconnect tool to do this.
12. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.
Be sure to take all necessary safety precautions when working on your vehicle. If you are not comfortable performing this task, it is best to have it done by a qualified mechanic.
