Here is a more detailed description of the process:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the accessory belt by loosening the tensioner bolt and sliding the belt off of the pulleys.
3. Remove the drive belt tensioner by loosening the mounting bolts and sliding the tensioner out of the way.
4. Locate the two alternator bolts on the front of the alternator, near the top.
5. Loosen the alternator bolts using a wrench or a socket.
6. Remove the alternator from the engine by lifting it up and out of the engine compartment.
