Where is the crankshaft position sensor located on a 97 Honda Accord 2.2 non v tech and how do you replace it?

The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is located on the front of the engine, just below the distributor. It is a small, cylindrical sensor with a single wire connector.

To replace the CKP, you will need:

- A new CKP sensor

- A 10mm wrench

- A flat head screwdriver

- A pair of pliers

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Locate the CKP sensor on the front of the engine.

3. Use the 10mm wrench to loosen the bolt that holds the CKP sensor in place.

4. Gently pry the CKP sensor out of its housing with the flathead screwdriver.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the CKP sensor.

6. Install the new CKP sensor in the reverse order of removal.

7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

8. Start the engine and check for leaks.
