1. Turn the key to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button for five seconds.
3. While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key to the "OFF" position.
4. Release the odometer reset button.
5. Turn the key back to the "ON" position and start the engine.
6. The service engine soon light should now be off.
You can also reset the service engine soon light using an OBD-II scanner:
1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
2. Turn on the scanner
3. Select the "Read Codes" option.
4. Follow the scanner's instructions to clear the codes and reset the service engine soon light.
