2. Locate the fuel filter housing.
- The fuel filter housing is usually located near the fuel tank. On the VW transporter, it is located under the driver's seat.
3. Remove the fuel filter housing cover.
- The cover is usually held in place by a few bolts or screws.
4. Remove the fuel filter.
- The fuel filter is usually a cylindrical-shaped object located inside the fuel filter housing.
5. Install the new fuel filter.
- Before installing the new fuel filter, make sure to lubricate the O-rings with a little bit of clean diesel fuel.
- Screw the new fuel filter into the fuel filter housing until it is snug.
6. Reinstall the fuel filter housing cover.
- Make sure to tighten the bolts or screws securely so that the cover will not come off while the engine is running.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks.
- If there are any leaks, tighten the fuel filter housing cover bolts or screws until the leaks stop.
