Can the inertia sensor make fuel pump malfunction?

The inertia switch is a safety feature in cars that cuts off the fuel supply in the event of a collision. It is mounted in the car's chassis and when it experiences a sudden deceleration, it triggers the switch and stops the flow of fuel. This is to prevent the car from catching fire in case of an accident.

The inertia switch does not interact with the fuel pump directly, and therefore it is highly unlikely that it can cause a fuel pump malfunction. If you are experiencing fuel pump issues, it is recommended that you consult with a qualified mechanic to diagnose and repair the problem.
