- A dial indicator
- A degree wheel
- A magnetic base
- A feeler gauge
- A crankshaft pulley wrench
- A socket wrench set
1. Remove the valve cover.
2. Loosen the camshaft retainer bolts and rotate the camshaft to TDC.
3. Install the dial indicator on the magnetic base and position the tip of the dial indicator on the top of the piston.
4. Zero the dial indicator.
5. Rotate the crankshaft pulley wrench counterclockwise until the dial indicator reads .050".
6. Tighten the camshaft retainer bolts.
7. Remove the degree wheel.
8. Install the injector timing tool in the injector hole.
9. Rotate the crankshaft pulley wrench clockwise until the injector timing tool bottoms out.
10. Tighten the injector hold-down bolts.
11. Start the engine and check for proper valve and injector timing.
