1. Turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake and chock the rear tires.
3. Locate the oil drain plug. For 4.6L models it is located on the bottom of the engine oil pan on the driver's side. For 5.4L models it is located below the oil filter.
4. Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
5. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.
6. Allow the engine oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.
7. Replace the oil drain plug.
8. Lower the vehicle.
