1. Open the hood of your car. The hood release is located in the footwell on the driver’s side.
2. Locate the engine air filter housing. It is a rectangular black plastic box located on the top right side of the engine.
3. Unlatch the air filter housing cover. There is a small tab on the front of the cover that you can press to release it.
4. Lift the cover off of the housing and set it aside.
5. Remove the old air filter from the housing. Be careful not to drop it into the engine bay.
6. Inspect the old air filter and make sure that it is dirty or clogged. If it is, then it is time to replace it.
7. Insert the new air filter into the housing. Make sure that it is seated properly and that there are no gaps around the edges.
8. Replace the cover on the housing and latch it into place.
9. Close the hood of your car.
That’s it! You have now successfully replaced the engine air filter on your Infiniti G35 2007. This task should be performed every 15,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first.
