The engine coolant temperature sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine, just below the thermostat housing. It is a single-wire sensor with a green connector.
Here are the steps to replace the engine coolant temperature sensor:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
3. Remove the thermostat housing.
4. Remove the old engine coolant temperature sensor.
5. Install the new engine coolant temperature sensor.
6. Reinstall the thermostat housing.
7. Reinstall the serpentine belt.
8. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
