1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the fuel tank.
3. Remove the fuel pump assembly from the tank.
4. Remove the fuel pump from the assembly.
5. Use a penetrating oil to loosen the stuck fuel pump rod.
6. Use a pair of pliers to grip the rod and pull it out.
7. If the rod is still stuck, you can use a hammer to tap it out from the inside of the tank.
8. Reinstall the fuel pump and fuel tank.
9. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
If you are unable to remove the stuck fuel pump rod using these steps, you will need to take your vehicle to a mechanic for assistance.
