The fan control module is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, behind the battery. Before you start working on the module, you must disconnect the negative battery cable. This will help to prevent electrical shocks and damage to the module.
2. Remove The Battery And Battery Tray
To access the fan control module, you will need to remove the battery and battery tray. The battery is held in place by a bolt that goes down through the centre of the battery. You can use a wrench to loosen the bolt and then lift the battery out of the compartment. The battery tray is held in place by four bolts. You can use a wrench to loosen the bolts and then remove the battery tray.
3. Locate The Blower Motor Connector
The blower motor connector is located on the bottom of the heater box. It is a black connector that has two wires running to it. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
4. Remove Fan control module
The fan control module is located on the side of the blower housing. It is held in place by four screws. You will need to use a screwdriver to remove the screws.
5. Remove The Fan Control Module
Once the screws have been removed, you can remove the fan control module from the heater box.
6. Install The New Fan Control Module
Insert the new fan control module into the heater box. Secure it with the four screws that you removed earlier.
7. Reconnect The Blower Motor Connector
Reconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
8. Reinstall The Battery Tray
Reinstall the battery tray and secure it with the four bolts that you removed earlier.
9. Reinstall The Battery
Reinstall the battery in the battery tray and secure it with the bolt that goes down through the centre of the battery.
10. Reinstall battery cables.
11. Test module.
Test the new fan control module to ensure that it is working correctly.
