1. Locate the pump on the rear of the hood motor.
2. Remove the filler plug from the pump. Note: The filler plug may snap off if the pump is not filled regularly, so be careful when removing it.
3. Insert a funnel into the filler hole.
4. Carefully pour hydraulic fluid into the funnel until the pump is full. Note: Do not overfill the pump, as this can damage the seals and cause leaks.
5. Replace the filler plug.
6. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. This will activate the pump and begin the bleeding process.
7. Look for any air bubbles in the hydraulic lines. If you see any air bubbles, loosen the bleed screw on the pump until the air bubbles are gone. Note: Be careful not to loosen the bleed screw too much, as this can cause the hydraulic fluid to leak out.
8. Once all of the air bubbles are gone, tighten the bleed screw.
9. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
The pump is now filled and bled, and the hood should be able to open and close properly.
