Instructions
1. Remove the serpentine belt.
2. Remove the accessory drive belts.
3. Remove the timing belt cover.
4. Remove the lower timing belt cover.
5. Turn the crankshaft to align the timing marks. The timing mark on the crankshaft pulley should align with the 0 mark on the oil pump housing.
6. Check the timing belt condition. If the timing belt is cracked, frayed, or has missing teeth, it must be replaced.
7. Remove the old timing belt.
8. Install the new timing belt. Start by routing the timing belt around the water pump, then wrap it around the crankshaft pulley and tensioner. Ensure the timing marks on the timing belt are aligned with the marks on the crankshaft pulley and oil pump housing.
9. Install the timing belt tensioner. Tighten the tensioner bolt to the specified torque.
10. Install the timing belt covers.
11. Install the accessory drive belts.
12. Install the serpentine belt.
