3. Vehicle title or registration: The VIN will be listed on the vehicle's title or registration documents.
Important Note: While the VIN is usually stamped into the metal, the plate or sticker on the dashboard may become damaged or faded over time. In these cases, the doorjamb location or vehicle documents will provide the VIN.
