Do NASCARs have rear view mirrors?

NASCAR cars do not have rearview mirrors.

Here's why:

* Aerodynamics: Mirrors would create drag and hinder the car's speed.

* Safety: At high speeds, mirrors could be easily damaged or broken, posing a danger to the driver.

* Visibility: NASCAR tracks are designed with a clear view of the track ahead. Drivers rely on their peripheral vision and the spotter on the roof to see what's behind them.

Instead of rearview mirrors, NASCAR drivers rely on:

* Spotters: A crew member on the roof of the car who communicates with the driver about the position of other cars.

* Peripheral vision: Drivers are trained to use their peripheral vision to check their surroundings.

* Mirrors on the inside of the car: Some NASCAR cars have small interior mirrors used for adjustments, but not for rearward vision.
