1. On the left front fender, near the hinge. Look for a small metal plate that's riveted to the fender. The VIN will be stamped on this plate.
2. On the engine block, near the cylinder head. The VIN may be stamped directly onto the engine block, or it could be on a separate tag that's attached to the block.
Note: The VIN on a 1965 Beetle will be a 10-digit number.
