1. Gather Tools and Materials:
- New rear light assembly
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Socket wrench set
2. Open the Trunk:
- Open the trunk of the Audi A4.
3. Remove the Tail Light Cover:
- Locate the tail light cover on the side of the trunk.
- Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the cover.
4. Unscrew the Tail Light Assembly:
- Use the Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws holding the tail light assembly in place.
- There will be two screws at the top and bottom of the assembly.
5. Disconnect the Wiring Harness:
- Locate the wiring harness connected to the tail light assembly.
- Gently press the locking tab on the connector and disconnect the harness.
6. Remove the Old Tail Light:
- Slide out the old tail light assembly by pulling it towards the center of the trunk.
- Be careful not to damage the wiring harness.
7. Install the New Tail Light:
- Slide the new tail light assembly into place and align the screw holes.
8. Reconnect the Wiring Harness:
- Reconnect the wiring harness to the tail light assembly and make sure it snaps securely into place.
9. Secure the Tail Light Assembly:
- Use the Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screws that hold the tail light assembly in place.
10. Test the Tail Light:
- Turn on the vehicle's lights to make sure the tail light is working correctly.
11. Replace the Tail Light Cover:
- Press the tail light cover back into place until it snaps shut.
12. Close the Trunk:
- Close the trunk of the Audi A4 and you're done!
