I got leather dye on my car paint how do i clean it?

1. Blot up the dye immediately. Don't rub it, as this can spread the dye and make it more difficult to remove. Use a clean, dry cloth to blot up as much of the dye as possible.

2. Apply a degreaser. A degreaser will help to dissolve the dye. Apply a degreaser to the affected area and let it sit for the amount of time specified on the product label.

3. Rinse the area with water. Rinse the area thoroughly with water to remove the degreaser.

4. Apply a rubbing compound. A rubbing compound will help to remove any remaining dye stains. Apply a rubbing compound to the affected area and rub it in with a soft cloth.

5. Rinse the area with water. Rinse the area thoroughly with water to remove the rubbing compound.

6. Wax the area. Waxing the area will help to protect the paint from future stains. Apply a wax to the affected area and buff it in with a soft cloth.

Tips:

* If the dye stain is still visible after following these steps, you may need to have the car professionally detailed.

* Some leather dyes may contain harsh chemicals that can damage car paint. If you are unsure whether a particular dye is safe to use on your car, test it on a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire affected area.

* Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection when working with leather dye and degreaser.
