The Vehicle Speed Sensor is located on the transmission near the rear of the engine. It is held in place by two bolts.
Here are the steps on how to replace it:
1.) Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2.) Raise and support the vehicle.
3.) Disconnect the electrical connector from the speed sensor.
4.) Remove the two bolts that hold the speed sensor in place.
5.) Remove the speed sensor from the transmission.
6.) Install the new speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
7.) Tighten the bolts to 10 ft-lbs.
8.) Reconnect the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
9.) Lower the vehicle.
10.) Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
