1. Sit in the driver's seat and locate the hood release lever. It is a small black lever located on the left side of the footwell, near the door sill.
2. Pull the hood release lever towards you. This will release the hood.
3. Get out of the car and go to the front of the vehicle.
4. Locate the hood latch. It is a small black latch located in the center of the hood.
5. Pull the hood latch up. This will release the hood and allow it to be opened.
6. Prop the hood open with the hood prop rod. The hood prop rod is located in the engine compartment, near the windshield washer fluid reservoir.
