Wiring Diagram for a Dual Model DEH665 Car Stereo

Color Code:

* Red: Battery Positive

* Yellow: Battery Positive (Memory)

* Black: Ground

* White: Left Front Speaker Positive

* White with Black Stripe: Left Front Speaker Negative

* Gray: Right Front Speaker Positive

* Gray with Black Stripe: Right Front Speaker Negative

* Green: Left Rear Speaker Positive

* Green with Black Stripe: Left Rear Speaker Negative

* Purple: Right Rear Speaker Positive

* Purple with Black Stripe: Right Rear Speaker Negative

* Blue: Remote Turn-On

* Orange: Illumination

Installation Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery.

2. Connect the red wire from the car stereo to the positive terminal of your car's battery.

3. Connect the yellow wire from the car stereo to the positive terminal of your car's battery (or to a switched power source).

4. Connect the black wire from the car stereo to a metal ground point in your car's chassis.

5. Connect the white wire from the car stereo to the left front speaker's positive terminal.

6. Connect the white with black stripe wire from the car stereo to the left front speaker's negative terminal.

7. Connect the gray wire from the car stereo to the right front speaker's positive terminal.

8. Connect the gray with black stripe wire from the car stereo to the right front speaker's negative terminal.

9. Connect the green wire from the car stereo to the left rear speaker's positive terminal.

10. Connect the green with black stripe wire from the car stereo to the left rear speaker's negative terminal.

11. Connect the purple wire from the car stereo to the right rear speaker's positive terminal.

12. Connect the purple with black stripe wire from the car stereo to the right rear speaker's negative terminal.

13. Connect the blue wire from the car stereo to the remote turn-on lead of your car's amplifier or head unit.

14. Connect the orange wire from the car stereo to your car's illumination circuit.

15. Reconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery.
