Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
If equipped with a rear step bumper, remove the center and side bolts along the top edge of the bumper.
Remove the tailgate.
Remove the outer tail lamp housing mounting bolts.
Gently pry at the base of the tail lamp assembly until it "unhooks" and you can remove the assembly.
Press down on the lock, while removing the bulb connector from the tail lamp housing (if necessary) and replace the bulb or LED.
Install the tail light cover in the reverse order of removal.
