1. A Torx T20 screwdriver
2. A Phillips-head screwdriver
3. A trim removal tool (or a flat-head screwdriver)
4. A set of car stereo removal keys (or two U-shaped pieces of metal)
Step 1: Remove the two Torx T20 screws that are located in the lower left and right corners of the radio faceplate.
Step 2: Use the trim removal tool to pry the radio faceplate off of the dash. Be careful not to damage the faceplate or the dash.
Step 3: Remove the four Phillips-head screws that are located behind the faceplate.
Step 4: Slide the radio out of the dash. Be careful not to damage the radio or the dash.
Step 5: Disconnect the antenna cable and the power connector from the back of the radio.
Step 6: Insert the car stereo removal keys (or the U-shaped pieces of metal) into the two slots on the sides of the radio.
Step 7: Pull the removal keys (or the U-shaped pieces of metal) outward to release the radio from the dash.
Step 8: Remove the radio from the car.
Note: If your Volkswagen Jetta Wagon has a navigation system, you will need to remove the navigation unit before you can remove the radio.
