1. Make sure the vehicle's battery has enough power.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
3. Press and hold the unlock button on the remote.
4. While continuing to hold the unlock button, turn the ignition key back to the "OFF" position and remove it.
5. Keep the unlock button pressed for at least 15 seconds after removing the key.
To reset the Immobilizer with two keys:
1. Put one key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
2. Within five seconds of turning the ignition to "ON", use the second key to lock and unlock the driver's door.
3. Within five seconds of completing step 2, remove both keys from the vehicle and wait 15 seconds.
4. Insert one of the keys into the ignition and turn it to "ON," followed by pressing the unlock button on the key fob five times.
5. Wait 15 seconds again.
6. Start the vehicle with one of the keys.
Both methods entail some waiting periods that can range from 15 seconds to 60 seconds on some models.
