1. Locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle. It is usually located near the driver's left knee.
2. If the hood release lever is broken or not working, you will need to use an alternate method to release the hood.
3. Open the driver's door and locate the hood release cable. It is usually a black or gray cable located near the door hinge.
4. Pull firmly on the hood release cable. This should release the hood latch.
5. If the hood doesn't open, try pulling the cable while someone else opens the hood from the outside.
6. If you are still unable to open the hood, you may need to use a pry bar or crowbar to pry open the hood.
7. Be careful not to damage the paint or body of the car while prying open the hood.
