2. Remove the water pump cover. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the water pump cover in place.
3. Remove the old water pump seal. Pry the old water pump seal out of the cover using a pry bar or screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the cover.
4. Clean the water pump cover. Use a degreaser and a brush to clean the water pump cover. Make sure that all of the old gasket material is removed.
5. Install the new water pump seal. Press the new water pump seal into the cover. Make sure that it is seated properly.
6. Replace the water pump cover. Install the water pump cover and bolts and reconnect the coolant line to the water pump cover.
7. Reinstall coolant Refill the cooling system with the correct mixture of coolant and water.
8. Start the engine and check for leaks. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for leaks around the water pump cover.
