How do you replace a 1999 Plymouth Breeze windshield washer pump?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement windshield washer pump

- Wrench

- Pliers

- Screwdriver

- Rag

- Flashlight

Instructions:

1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding.

2. Open the hood of your vehicle. Locate the windshield washer fluid reservoir. It is typically a translucent plastic tank located near the front of the engine bay.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the windshield washer pump. Use a screwdriver to pry open the locking tab on the connector and then pull the connector straight off the pump.

4. Locate the fluid hose. Use pliers to loosen the hose clamps and remove the hose from the pump. Be careful to allow the washer fluid to drain into a rag or bucket.

5. Remove the mounting bolts. Use a wrench to remove the bolts securing the pump to the reservoir.

6. Remove the old pump. After the bolts have been removed, the pump can be pulled out of the reservoir.

7. Inspect the reservoir for damage. If the reservoir is cracked or broken, it will need to be replaced before installing a new pump.

8. Install the new pump. Insert the new pump into the reservoir and secure it using the mounting bolts. Replace the hose and electrical connector.

9. Test the pump. Turn on the windshield wipers and press the windshield washer button to test the pump. If the pump is working properly, the washer fluid should spray out of the nozzles on the hood of your vehicle.
