Make sure the vehicle's doors, hood, and trunk are closed.
Connect a compatible scan tool to the vehicle's OBD-II port.
Turn on the ignition switch to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
Select the "Security" or "Theft Deterrent" option from the scan tool menu.
Follow the prompts on the scan tool to enter the vehicle's security code. The security code is usually a 5-digit number and can be found on the vehicle's RPO sticker or in the owner's manual.
Once the security code is entered correctly, the scan tool will initiate the security relearn procedure.
Wait for the scan tool to complete the relearn procedure, which may take a few minutes.
Once the procedure is complete, turn off the ignition switch and wait for 10 seconds.
Turn on the ignition switch again to start the engine. The theft system should now be reset, and the vehicle should start and function normally.
Note: If you do not have access to a scan tool or the vehicle's security code, you will need to take the vehicle to a qualified automotive technician or locksmith to have the theft system reset.
