2. Open the trunk.
3. Locate the third brake light assembly. It is located at the top of the rear window, just below the spoiler.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector. Press the release tab on the connector and then pull it apart.
5. Remove the two bolts that hold the third brake light assembly in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen the bolts.
6. Pull the third brake light assembly out of the car. Be careful not to drop it.
7. Install the new third brake light assembly. Insert the new assembly into the car and then hand-tighten the two bolts.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector. Press the release tab on the connector and then push it together until it clicks.
9. Test the third brake light. Turn on the ignition and press the brake pedal. The third brake light should come on.
10. Close the trunk.
