1. Start your vehicle.
2. Place the seatbelt across the seat next to the driver.
3. Let 10 seconds pass for the alarm to pause in its chime sequence.
4. Unbuckle and repeat the process at least four more times.
5. The alarm should only chime in 30-second intervals if you don't buckle up during this time.
Method 2: Override with a Buckle Extender
1. Purchase a seatbelt buckle extender.
2. Insert the extender into the buckle in your vehicle.
3. Press down on the extender to lock it into place.
4. Close your door and start the engine.
5. The seatbelt alarm should not sound.
