1. Insert Key and Turn to ON (II) Position.
- Sit in the driver's seat and close the door.
- Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" (II) position, but do not start the car.
- Release the key and leave it in the ignition.
2. Press and Hold Trip Reset Button.
- Locate the "Trip Reset" button on your instrument panel. It is usually next to the odometer.
- Press and hold the "Trip Reset" button for at least 10 seconds.
3. Observe Anti-Theft Indicator Light.
- While holding the "Trip Reset" button, observe the anti-theft indicator light on your instrument panel.
- The light will begin to blink rapidly. This indicates that the system is in programming mode.
4. Release Trip Reset Button.
- Once the anti-theft indicator light starts blinking rapidly, release the "Trip Reset" button.
5. Enter Code Using Number Buttons.
- Use the number buttons on your radio or climate control panel to enter your four-digit anti-theft code.
- Enter the code one digit at a time.
- After each digit, press the "Enter" or "Select" button to confirm.
6. Verify Code Acceptance.
- Once you have entered all four digits of the code, the anti-theft indicator light will stop blinking and stay solid.
- This indicates that the code has been accepted.
7. Start Vehicle and Disconnect Battery.
- Turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it from the ignition.
- Reconnect the battery (if it was previously disconnected).
- Start the vehicle.
The anti-theft system should now be deactivated, and you should be able to start the car without any issues.
