2. Remove the Drive Belt
- Use a wrench to loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the drive belt.
3. Unbolt the Water Pump
- Locate the water pump on the front of the engine. Remove the bolts holding it in place and carefully remove the water pump.
4. Remove the Old Gasket
- Use a gasket scraper to remove the old gasket material from the mating surfaces of the water pump and the engine.
5. Install the New Gasket and Water Pump
- Apply a thin layer of sealant to the new gasket and position it on the water pump.
- Carefully install the water pump on the engine and secure it with the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
6. Install the Drive Belt
- Put the drive belt back onto the pulleys. Ensure the belt is correctly aligned before reattaching the cover.
7. Refill the Cooling System
- Close the radiator cap and add new coolant to the system until it reaches the full mark on the radiator.
8. Test the System for Leaks
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any leaks around the water pump and connections.
