Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
Locate the small, plastic cover that covers the third brake light assembly. It is located between the two taillights on the rear of the vehicle.
Remove the cover by prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver or a similar tool.
You will now see the light bulb socket inside the assembly.
Gently twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it.
Pull the old bulb out of the socket.
Install the new bulb in the socket and turn it clockwise to secure it.
Replace the light bulb socket into the assembly.
Turn on the ignition to make sure the third brake light is working properly.
Replace the plastic cover.
