You will need:
* A new CV joint
* A CV joint puller
* A hammer
* A pry bar
* A jack
* A jack stand
* A socket set
* A wrench set
* Safety goggles
Step 2: Prepare the vehicle.
* Park the vehicle on a level surface.
* Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
* Engage the parking brake.
* Chock the wheels.
* Jack up the vehicle and support it with jack stands.
Step 3: Remove the old CV joint.
* Locate the CV joint that you need to replace. It is located at the end of the driveshaft, near the wheel.
* Use the CV joint puller to remove the CV joint from the driveshaft.
* If the CV joint is stuck, you may need to use a hammer and pry bar to loosen it.
Step 4: Install the new CV joint.
* Insert the new CV joint into the driveshaft.
* Use the CV joint puller to install the CV joint.
* Make sure that the CV joint is seated properly.
Step 5: Lower the vehicle.
* Lower the vehicle off of the jack stands.
* Remove the chocks from the wheels.
Step 6: Test the CV joint.
* Start the engine and drive the vehicle around.
* Listen for any unusual noises or vibrations.
* If you hear any unusual noises or vibrations, you should have the CV joint checked by a qualified mechanic.
