1) Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2) Open the hood and locate the clutch cable.
3) Loosen the locknut on the clutch cable.
4) Turn the adjusting nut until the clutch pedal has 1/2 to 1 inch of free play.
5) Tighten the locknut.
6) Close the hood and test the clutch pedal.
Note: If the clutch pedal does not have any free play, you may need to replace the clutch cable.
