Tools Needed
* 10mm socket
* 12mm socket
* 14mm socket
* Ratchet
* Extension
* Wrench
* Pliers
* Screwdriver
Instructions
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the upper alternator bracket bolt.
5. Remove the lower alternator bracket bolt.
6. Remove the alternator from the truck.
7. Install the new alternator in reverse order of removal.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Here are some additional tips for replacing the alternator on a 1990-1993 Mazda B2200 truck:
* Be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable before starting any work. This will help to prevent any electrical shock.
* The serpentine belt can be removed by using a 14mm socket and ratchet.
* The upper alternator bracket bolt can be removed by using a 12mm socket and ratchet.
* The lower alternator bracket bolt can be removed by using a 14mm socket and ratchet.
* The alternator can be removed from the truck by lifting it up and out of the engine compartment.
* When installing the new alternator, be sure to tighten the bolts securely.
