Tools Needed:
- Small Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver (or a pry tool)
1. Open the Glove Compartment: Fully open the glove compartment.
2. Locate the Screws: Inside the glove compartment, look for two screws located near the top on both sides. These screws secure the glove compartment to the dashboard.
3. Remove the Screws: Use a small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these two screws.
4. Locate the Retaining Clips: Behind the glove compartment, you'll find metal retaining clips on either side. These clips hold the glove compartment in place.
5. Release the Clips: Using the flat-head screwdriver, gently pry open these metal retaining clips on each side. Be careful not to break the clips.
6. Pull Out the Glove Compartment: Once the screws are removed and the retaining clips are released, you can carefully pull out the glove compartment towards you. Disconnect any cables or connections that may be attached to the glove compartment.
Note: Before completely removing the glove compartment, check if there are any screws securing the glove box light. If there are screws, you'll need to remove those as well to fully detach the glove compartment.
Reinstallation Tip: When putting the glove compartment back in place, make sure the metal retaining clips are properly aligned and seated correctly to ensure a secure attachment.
