1. Locate the hood release lever inside the vehicle. It is usually located on the driver's side footwell, near the door sill.
2. Pull the hood release lever, but do not lift the hood yet.
3. Go to the front of the vehicle and locate the hood latch. It is located in the center of the hood, just below the BMW emblem.
4. Insert a flathead screwdriver or a key into the hood latch.
5. Press down on the hood latch while simultaneously lifting the hood.
6. The hood should now be open.
Here are some additional tips that may be helpful:
* If you cannot find the hood release lever, you can also try pulling the emergency release cable. This cable is located in the engine bay, near the radiator.
* If the hood is still stuck, you can try using a pry bar to pry it open. Be careful not to damage the paint or bodywork of the vehicle.
* If you are unable to open the hood yourself, you can take your vehicle to a mechanic or auto body shop.
