1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

2. Chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.

3. Locate the rear hub cap and remove it using a pry bar or flat-head screwdriver.

4. Remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the hub bearing.

5. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel that is attached to the rear hub.

6. Raise your vehicle with a floor jack and place jack stands under the frame.

7. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.

8. Remove the brake caliper and rotor.

9. Remove the axle nut from the rear hub.

10. Use a puller to remove the rear hub from the axle.

11. Clean the rear hub and inspect it for damage.

12. Replace the rear hub if necessary.

13. Reassemble the wheel, brake caliper, and rotor.
