- New driver-side mirror
- Adjustable wrench
- Screwdriver
- Pry tool
- New glass (if needed)
- Adhesive (if needed)
Instructions:
1. Remove the old mirror.
- Use an adjustable wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the mirror in place.
- Once the bolts are loose, carefully remove the mirror from the door.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Locate the electrical connector that is connected to the back of the mirror.
- Use a screwdriver or a pry tool to release the connector.
3. Remove the glass from the mirror (if necessary).
- If the mirror glass is broken, you will need to remove it from the mirror housing.
- Use a screwdriver or a pry tool to carefully remove the glass.
4. Install the new glass (if necessary).
- If you removed the glass from the mirror housing, you will need to install the new glass.
- Apply a small amount of adhesive to the back of the glass.
- Carefully insert the glass into the mirror housing.
5. Reattach the electrical connector.
- Locate the electrical connector that you disconnected in step 2.
- Reattach the connector by pressing it into place until it clicks.
6. Reinstall the mirror.
- Carefully position the mirror in the door.
- Use the adjustable wrench to tighten the bolts that hold the mirror in place.
7. Test the mirror.
- Once the mirror is installed, test it to make sure that it is working properly.
- Adjust the mirror so that you have a clear view of the road behind you.
