Tools and Materials Needed:
- Vehicle key
Procedure:
1. Turn the key to the “ON” position, without starting the engine.
The message center in the instrument cluster should display “Oil Life 100%.”
2. Press and hold the “SEL/RESET” button on the instrument cluster for about five seconds.
The oil life percentage should start flashing.
3. Release the button once the oil life percentage has started flashing.
The oil life percentage should reset to “100%.”
4. Turn the key to the “OFF” position.
The oil service countdown has now been reset.
Tips:
- Make sure the engine is off before resetting the oil service countdown.
- If the oil service countdown does not reset, you may need to take your vehicle to a dealership or auto repair shop to have it reset.
