The wrench light is a reminder to the rider that the bike needs to be serviced at a Honda dealership or authorized service center.
Honda recommends doing these scheduled maintenances for your rancher:
- 600 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first: Change oil and filter, remove air cleaner and wash the foam element in soapy water, check fluid in front and rear brakes and clutch, inspect brake pads and disc, inspect suspension bolts, and throttle operation, clean fuel tank vent tube, inspect spark plug, inspect drive shaft boot and swing arm dust seal.
- Once a year: perform all items listed above, check drive shaft bearings, rear hub oil, and front suspension arm bearings, inspect the battery and cables, inspect wiring, lights and horn operation, inspect clutch and brake levers and cables, clean and lubricate brake calipers and pads.
