- 22mm socket wrench

- 10mm socket wrench

- 12mm socket wrench

- Floor jack

- Jack stands

- Rag

Step 1: Loosen the lug nuts

Place the bike in neutral. Use a 22mm socket to loosen (but not completely remove) the two lug nuts on the rear axle.

Step 2: Support the motorcycle with jack stands

Lift the motorcycle up with a floor jack and support it on jack stands.

Step 3: Remove the axle nut

Use a 22mm socket to loosen and remove the axle nut on the right side of the motorcycle.

Step 4: Pull out the rear axle

Use a 24-inch breaker bar to push out the rear axle. Place a rag on one end of the breaker bar to help prevent damage to the threads.

Step 5: Remove the rear wheel

Lift up the rear wheel and remove it from the motorcycle. Be careful not to drop the wheel.

Step 6: Remove the old tire from the rim

Use a 10mm socket to loosen the lug nuts and then remove the rim from the tire. Use tire irons to remove the old tire from the rim.

Step 7: Install the new tire on the rim

Use the tire irons to install the new tire on the rim. Be sure to align the tire bead with the rim seat properly.

Step 8: Replace the lug nuts on the rim

Use a 10mm socket to tighten the lug nuts on the rim. Do not overtighten the lug nuts.

Step 9: Reinstall the rear wheel on the motorcycle

Lift up the rear wheel and place it on the swingarm. Reinstall the axle, axle nut, and lug nuts.

Step 10: Lower the motorcycle from jack stands

Carefully lower the motorcycle from jack stands.

Step 11: Tighten the lug nuts on the rear axle

Use a 22mm socket to tighten the lug nuts on the rear axle. Tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure.

Step 12: Enjoy

Take your motorcycle for a ride to enjoy your new rear tire!
