1. Preparation:
- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the Derby Cover by unscrewing the bolts located on the left side of the motorcycle engine.
2. Primary Chaincase Removal:
- Drain the primary oil by locating the drain plug at the bottom of the case.
- Remove the primary chaincase bolts and lift the upper chaincase from the engine.
3. Stator Inspection:
- Inspect the Stator for any signs of damage, such as loose magnets or a burned insulation.
4. Stator Removal:
- Remove the bolts holding the Stator to the engine casing and carefully remove the Stator.
5. Magnet Removal:
- Place the Stator face-up and locate the small nuts or screws on the back of the magnets.
- Remove these fasteners to release the magnets from the Stator.
6. Clean the Surfaces:
- Thoroughly clean the Stator and the engine casing's surface to remove any debris.
7. Install New Magnets:
- Apply adhesive to the magnets' surface to hold them in place and place the magnets correctly into their respective positions on the Stator.
8. Securely Fasten Magnets:
- Install new nuts or screws to securely fasten the magnets in place.
9. Reinstall the Stator:
- Carefully position the Stator back onto the engine casing, ensuring that the magnets are aligned properly.
- Install the bolts to fasten the Stator to the engine casing.
10. Primary Chaincase Reinstallation:
- Reinstall the primary chaincase in the reverse order of removal.
11. Primary Oil Refill:
- Refill the primary oil through the oil filler hole according to the manufacturer's specifications.
12. Derby Cover Reinstallation:
- Reinstall the Derby Cover with the removed bolts.
13. Battery Reconnection:
- Reconnect the battery's positive and negative terminals.
Start the motorcycle and verify that it is running smoothly before taking the bike for a test ride.
