How do i adjust the clutch on a Honda goldwing 1500?

To adjust the clutch on a Honda Goldwing 1500, you will need the following tools:

- 10mm wrench

- 12mm wrench

- Flat-blade screwdriver

- Phillips-head screwdriver

- Loctite (optional)

Here are the steps involved in adjusting the clutch:

1. Park the motorcycle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.

2. Locate the clutch adjustment cover. It is located on the left side of the engine, just below the clutch lever.

3. Remove the clutch adjustment cover. Use the 10mm wrench to loosen the two bolts holding the cover in place. Remove the bolts and then lift the cover off of the housing.

4. Locate the clutch pushrod. It is the long rod that connects the clutch lever to the clutch pressure plate.

5. Adjust the clutch pushrod. Use the 12mm wrench to turn the clutch pushrod adjustment nut. Turning the nut clockwise will tighten the clutch, while turning it counterclockwise will loosen the clutch.

6. Check the clutch free play. There should be 2-3mm of free play between the clutch lever and the clutch perch. To check the free play, pull the clutch lever in all the way and measure the distance between the lever and the perch.

7. Replace the clutch adjustment cover. Replace the bolts and tighten them securely with the 10mm wrench.

8. Test the clutch. Start the engine and let it warm up. Shift into first gear and slowly release the clutch lever. The motorcycle should move forward smoothly without jerking or slipping. If the clutch is still slipping, you may need to adjust it further.

Tips:

- If you are unsure of how to adjust the clutch, refer to the motorcycle's service manual.

- You may want to apply a small amount of Loctite to the clutch adjustment nut to prevent it from loosening over time.
