- Allen Wrench Set
- Measuring Tape/Ruler
Instructions: Locate the sag adjustment knobs. They are typically black or red in color and are located on the top of the forks and the bottom of the shock absorber.
Loosen the upper Triple clamp pinch bolts. Then, loosen the lower Triple clamp bolts.
1. Measure the total length from the axle (Front or Rear) to the fender bolt. It should be 93mm
2. While sitting on the bike with safety gear on bounce up and down a few times. Measure the gap again now between the two marks. Your target sag measurement is 108-118 mm.
3. If the sag measurement is too low (not enough gap), turn the knob(s) clockwise. This will increase the spring tension and lift up the bike.
If the sag measurement is too high (too much gap), turn the knob(s) counter-clockwise. This will reduce the spring tension and lower the bike.
4. After you are done adjusting sag for front or rear, retorque the pinch bolts using the following measurements:
-Upper pinch bolt: 20 Nm
-Lower pinch bolts: 22 Nm
Repeat the process until you have adjusted the sag correctly for your bike.
Note: Sag is an important adjustment that can affect the handling, traction, and comfort of your bike. It's important to take your time and get it set up correctly.
