1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
- Replacement wiper motor
- Socket set
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Pliers
2. Disconnect the battery.
- This is a safety precaution to avoid any electrical accidents while working on the wiper motor.
3. Remove the wiper arms.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the caps on the wiper arms.
- Remove the nuts holding the wiper arms on, and then remove the arms.
4. Remove the cowl.
- The cowl is the plastic cover that sits at the base of the windshield.
- Remove the screws holding the cowl on, and then remove the cowl.
5. Remove the wiper motor.
- The wiper motor is located on the passenger side of the firewall.
- Remove the nuts holding the wiper motor on, and then remove the wiper motor.
6. Install the new wiper motor.
- Place the new wiper motor in position and secure it with the nuts you removed earlier.
7. Reinstall the cowl and wiper arms.
- Reinstall the cowl and wiper arms in the reverse order that you removed them.
8. Reconnect the battery.
9. Test the wiper motor.
- Turn on the wipers and make sure they work properly.
10. Enjoy your newly functioning wipers!
