1. Turn the engine off and make sure the ignition is in position 1.
2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button (located on the instrument cluster, usually near the speedometer).
3. While holding the reset button, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to position 2 (just before starting the engine).
4. Continue holding the reset button until the oil service light stops flashing and the display reads "Service Reset."
5. Release the reset button.
6. Turn off the ignition.
7. Turn the ignition back on to position 1.
The oil service light should now be reset. If it is not, please repeat the steps above.

* If the oil service light is still on after following the above steps, you may need to take your vehicle to a BMW dealership or qualified repair shop to have it reset.
